Main cast in the Game of Betrayal

Obviously, we can see that Raymond Tan, is playing a delaying game, to back his previous word that he will stay with SAPP but if SAPP sacks him, then he will say "they sack me, they don't want me". He has yet to send his letter of resignation.

But ironically, he has announced he has left SAPP and now trying to form a renegade party called "Sabah People's Movement Party" or "Sabah United Party" by pinching and enticing existing SAPP members all around Sabah. His party claiming "15,000" renegade members will be formed soon.

  1. Let him "enjoy" his loot for now and we will see where that takes him in the long run. Sabah will be liberated from evil forces and their stooges and conspirators will be rejected by the people. Only then will he know that it was better for him to choose the people than an ephemeral position.

  2. Dear Sir,

I am from Peninsular Malaysia and I think SAPP is a brave party, and is standing for principles. I laud its move to step out of Barisan Nasional and to aggressively pursue the MOST important issues facing Sabah DIRECTLY, with no dilly-dally, such as the MyKad/Immigration issue.

If I was a Sabahan, my election votes would surely go to SAPP...

    Syabas to everyone at SAPP!

  5. (Borneo Post)Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister cum Infrastructure Development Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah should make a firm stand on his status in the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), said SAPP Youth Chief Edward Dagul.

He said the Party's record shows that Raymond has not resigned from the SAPP yet, but he has declared himself as an "Independent Barisan Nasional (N)."

"As such, he (Datuk Raymond Tan) should take a stand now whether he still wants to be a member of SAPP or becomes an independent BN and if he chooses to be an independent BN then he must send in resignation letter to the Party Headquarters," said Edward yesterday.

He said the statement by Raymond to declare himself as an "independent BN" because he was opposed to the SAPP's pull out from the BN coalition has somewhat confused a lot of people including SAPP members especially those from State constituency of Tanjung Papat.

"Raymond has yet to send his resignation letter although being a senior leader he is well aware of the Party's regulations and procedures. Before, he filled in the membership form and now he ought to send in his resignation letter," said Edward.

  6. Kenapa Kibin suka putarbelit cerita.

  7. please don't accuse Raymond Tan, we are all human being. he is not a dog or "zou kow" or what ever you people adressed him. he is a man of his own pricipal, and he has his own thinking and he will make his way out in the political struggle. hopefuuly he still has friends in sandakan and other places. he (raymond TAN) and THAM NIP SENG will one day group up together with Au Kam fah to form a iron triangle and will lead the sabah chinese to a wonderful world. believe me, Tham, Raymond and Au are still below 50 yrs of age. they have the time and millios of money. with that they will create a new political senero in sabah. you guys should trust me and you will see in the very near future.

  8. Chin SK must have been born blind or deaf to think that Tan Si Kat and his so called million $$ agents can rally the Chinese in Sabah to support him. For the past donkey years, while other Chinese ministers and YB's tried so hard to help the Chinese communities such as schools, associations and cultural bodies by helping to raise fund, playing leading roles in all Chinese activities, we have NEVER seen Tan S K appear or care about what is happening to the Chinese communities especially in KK and interior areas. He knows how to kneel and serve his Bn masters with projects only. He says he is still the DCM, has he forgotten he has to look after the Chinese in West Coast too? He is not the DCM for Sim Sim or Tg Papat only. Better be a gentleman for the 1st time in your cowardice life, give the DCM post to those who care about us, or else just enjoy your millions $$ which you got by 'cium tangan'.

Everyone has his own principle, but we have to follow the regulation or traditional rules in Sabah state Government. Form a party ?Join a BN Party ? Resign immediately ? The people will respect a person who can "take it up and put it down" at any times.

  10. Kiah-Su Tan is a man of NO principles at all, only with 2 balls(i.e. Kam-Lan Au & Jim Wong) 'on' his feet to play along with.

I could still vividly recall in 2006, a few days prior to SAPP were holding the congress/elections ... he came to Labuan quietly without even having the obligations to meeet up with Labuan leaders (All Labuan branches had already nominated him as one of the Deputies).

His reason was to meet up with a relative as what his SMS stated in one CLC member's h/phone ... in actual fact he met up with a businessman with which his Ministry had approved the 10-year contract to run a transportation service.

You all can now see thru' what type of leader he was then !!!!

  11. Just an ordinary view. The SAPP now left alone after UPKO, Gerakan and MCA pledged to remain in BN fold. Eventually SAPP will be in PR fold together with DAP, PKR and PAS. Isnt it to small room for political meanuvering considering SAPP has to compete with other parti in PR like PKR and DAP which share the common interest on MP and DUN seats with them. Maybe its gonna be so crowded.. So Bad again, SAPP has to face its ex members who opposed its move to leave BN. This is double-whammy. Hope SAPP can overcome these problems or its "tong kang" sink.

  12. Dear SK Chin,

Please do not be so naive or rather childish to even dream that Kiah-Su Tan, Tham and Au will form a party that WILL rock Sabah politics .... theae leaders never even ever really support SAPP financially when they were ministers or even chairmen of some Sabah agencies.

They may be millionaires in their own right but to all Righteous Sabahans, especially the CHINESE they are TOO CHEAP in character and personality !!!

We call them "Zou Kou" as befit their TRUE PERSONALITIES !!!

Those members who remain in SAPP are the real SABAHANS, irrespective of races, who will fight and protect the RIGHTS and PRIVILEGES of SABAH RAKYAT !!!

  13. Raymond is really a 'Kiah-su' man or a 'Boh-lam-pah' man!

Coz if he resigned, he will be a partyless ADUN ..... then how can he be appointed a DCM without being a BN component party member !

So the only choice is he will rejoin PBS or become a new MCA member to protect his DCMship, his only money-making safe deposit for his personal greed n power !!!

This is the END of Tan Kiah-Su !!

Why Umno fellas got balls by tearing, step and puiii at Ah Kua’s (gerakan eununch) photo ! Ha..ha...ha Raymond Tan will be the next one!

From their persistent refusal to apologise; there must be some valid reasons for such strong sentiments. When I reviewed again the political landscape of the country over the weekend, I found the answers…….

  37. New party by breakaway SAPP group expected soon

Kota Kinabalu: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah has submitted to the Registrar of Society (ROS) an application to register a new Sabah-based political party.

Once registered, Tan, a founder member of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) which pulled out from the Barisan Nasional (BN) on Sept 17, will apply for the party to join the national coalition.

A close aide of the Tanjong Papat Assemblyman said at least five names for the new party were proposed, one of which is Sabah United Party (Parti Perpaduan Sabah).

He said those behind the new party were confident that it would receive approval from the ROS within a week and that some 15,000 SAPP members would ditch their party to join the new party.

"They are now just waiting for the new party to be registered before submitting their formal resignation letters to the SAPP headquarters," the aide told Daily Express, Monday.

The 15,000 SAPP members ready to quit are said to be from the Interior, Likas, Luyang, Sandakan, Elopura, Inanam, Telipok, Ranau and Tawau, and more were expected to follow them later.

15,000 members of SAPP??? Is it true or just imagination.

  45. I have recieved informations from some sapp members that Kiahsu and chief agent together with the 5 agents from sandakan being going round contacting sapp members to leave the party. they be contacted be phone, sms , thr relatives etc, etc, with big offers (ie C.O.D., promises of polojets etc.,) the inside sources that Kiahsu and Jimwong had pump out a few millios for this project(don't know where THE MILLIOS COME FROM????). this evening sources saying that they even offer to those who can bring 50 to 100 members or mORE out from sapp, will be offered from a sum of 100k or more that according to the numbers of people. this is no joke, they have try very hard to get 15,ooo members with what ever they can. a few members from sapp told me they have recieved 5k each, but they are still strongly support sapp... *****SO TO U OUT THERE, THIS IS A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO EARN $OME INCOME**** don't forget, u should get C.O.D.= Cash On Delivery. or else u get nothing. don't believe them that they promise u this and that (polojets, positions etc). because if they can form a new party, the other BN compenant parties like pbs, mca will object them to join in. so they got no way out. SO DEMEND AS MUCH AS YOU CAN, THEY HAVE MILLIOS, MILLIOS FROM WATER WOK.

  46. First I was surprised how Tan can get this number of SAPP members and sounded ridiculous.

  47. Dear All SAPP-Loyalist members,

SAPP had and will make bigger waves in the political arena time and again (from 1994 when UMNO made their debut and in 2008 when we dumped BN-UMNO) ... will be respected with highest regards in due time by the new Federal and State leaders by the next Elections.

Just never ever forget in the belief of our struggles and 'seek for justice' for the Sabahan Rakyat and they are the ones who will pull us thru' ... believe in the "EYES ABOVE" for the truth will prevail one day !!!

Look at SAPP's decisive no-confidence vote against PakLah which had now borne credence to our Party's unanimous stand.

For Raymond Tan n his sidekicks, let them dig their own graves coz they will perish immediately just after the next Elections !!!

Believe in the People Power of Sabah Rakyat just like in 1976 , 1985 n 1994 ... those memories of the eventful falls of the dictatorial leadership will enlighten SAPP to persevere for the next few years.

LONG LIVE SAPP ! LONG LIVE SAPP !

    8th October, 2008

SANDAKAN : A total of 410 SAPP members from three branches in the Sungai Sibuga division have decided to ditch the party after a meeting here recently.

They were from the Sandak,Tinusa and Mile 8 branches.

Leading the group was former Constituency Liaison Committee (CLC) Chairman of Sungai Sibuga,Yap Vui Hun who was also an exco member of the Youth movement.

They are the second batch to leave SAPP after its president Datuk Yong Teck Lee announced the party was dropping out of Barisan Nasional (BN) last month.

The first mass exodus was led by former deputy president ,Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah who is still Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Development.

Raymond the assemblyman for Tanjung Papat was formerly the SAPP CLC Chairman for Tanjung Papat as well as the Sandakan Zone Chairman but has since been replaced by Poon Kee Yang.

Elopura assemblyman and former SAPP Youth chief Au Kam Wah joined Raymond in ditching the party too.

However, those who left claimed they still held on to the struggles of the BN.

Do you still want Sabah to be further rampaged by KL Umno? Well, they have made so many illegals become citizens overnight while the locals were deprived? These illegals had become 1st class citizens i.e. Muslim bumiputeras!

Do you still want to support a double standard and corrupt government? Is it worth it?

What we need is a change! Malaysia to be fair to all..and by doing it, we need to support our SAPP's declarations and eliminate Umnoism ie. "Malay" supremacy consisting of races including Arabs, Iranians, Iraqis, Muslim Indians, etc who have become 1st class citizens over our locals here!

Do you really think we should be treated this way?

    11:20am, October 9, 2008:

The prosecution just admitted that the exhibit which forms the foundation of the charge against RPK was not originally taken from Malaysia-Today but was a police cut-&-paste job. They also did not deny the large part of the original article is true.

11:30am: The prosecution is seeking to stand down the trial, and decide what to do as the charge may be defective. The judge is alarmed that the exhibit to the charge is not the original but a police's cut-and-paste article.

11:35am: Prosecution is in a quandary as the trial appears to be scuttled since charge may be held to be defective midway through the trial.

Court is adjourned to Monday, 13/10/2008.

Maybe. Or maybe his term will be even shorter than 5 years and 5 months if Anwar topples him with a vote of no confidence before March.

  63. I just hate those gutless or really "boh-lam-pah' anonymous bloggers who criticized SAPP or rather belittle us Sabah Rakyat by their, yes pea-brain comments.

On behalf of all Sabah Rakyat, we are not dumb or blind to see all the worst kinds of dirty jobs being committed by the current federal and state 'yesman' leaders .... examples like :
    (1) the current NRD fiasco,
    (2) the $$$millions that belonged to us taxpayers being used in the futile campaign for the BN candidate in Permatang Pauh,
    (3) the 20% oil royalty that is suppose to be the Sabah Rakyat,
    (4) the federal officers in charge of government agencies (locals are also more capable to administer our State agencies,
    and many more countless issues.

Our conscience should be ... "Do we want to be control by Federal leaders until our resources run dry without any reserves for our future generations?" ... Only brainless people will care less for us Sabahans but their own pockets !!!

Raymond Tan is also one of the few leaders still clinging to "chasing the wind' power and status and still dreaming of more greed.

Finish these leaders off once and for all in the next Elections !!!!

  64. SAPP True or not?

    DAILY EXPRESS NEWS
300 SAPP members leave Kunak div

Kunak: Some 300 members of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) of the Kunak division have left the party in protest over the recent decision by the party leadership to leave the Barisan Nasional.

Its former Kunak chief Paul Thien Vui Ken claimed that the withdrawal from the national coalition was not unanimous from the grassroots.

Thien also confirmed that the decision to leave the party was prompted by the leaders of the Bandar Baru, Pertama and Pekan branches, with the possibility of joining a new party proposed by SAPP deputy president Datuk Raymond Tan Shu Kiah, who himself opposed to the withdrawal decision.

SAPP President Datuk Yong Teck Lee announced the party's decision to withdraw from the Barisan Nasional, leaving the coalition short of two Members of Parliament.

Thien said that some of the party members had even planned to join a BN component party, Liberal Democratic Party.

Meanwhile, Kunak Assemblyman Nilwan Kabang assured that the status of the former SAPP members as District Councillors would not be affected, including Thien.

  65. kATAKBERLARi, what a befitting name you got...that describes you and the running dogs!

In chasing positions and perks, it is not surprising that opportunists come and go, while the loyal ones stay..it is just a cleansing process..

SAPP will prevail and rid of parasitic and blood sucking slugs.

  66. It is a pity to see members who prefer BN over SAPP just becoz of $$$!

It is also sad that they criticized the Party becoz of their greed!

It is also worse that they pinched and entice members to leave the Party...This is what we called treachery,"Zou Kow".

I therefore suggest the new party they want to set up to be called "Running Dog Party" , "Parti Anjing Khianat" and in Chinese "Zou Kow Tang".

    So long, shameless running dogs!

I just hate 'Zhou-kou' (running dogs) especially those who had use SAPP as the vehicle to gain undeserved status and ill-gotten wealth n fotune.

They will run to nowhere ... just wait and see !!!

  68. Seeing Umno for what it is

    MalaysianTitanic3rdClassPassenger | Oct 10, 08 5:41pm

The truth is that Umno has ruled supreme for the last 50 years. It always got it's way because the dominant ethnic majority of the country always supported it's policies.

The state of the nation is corrupt, racist, discriminatory, abusive, unjust, inefficient, and backwards. If Malaysia stinks then it is because Umno stinks.

If the morals of the country stinks, then it is because the morals of Umno politicians stinks.

I won't even discuss the morality of explosives and murder of foreign nationals as most people seem to be able to tell the difference between right and wrong in this instance.

Instead, I shall talk about Umno's corruption and Umno's racism as the former will occasion the disastrous downfall of this nation, and the latter will be the downfall of the Malays.

Umno teaches that it is just to discriminate against all non-Malays and non-Muslims - jobs, education, schools, colleges, universities, business opportunities, government contracts, concessions, taxes, and even finding a cemetery to bury the dead.

Umno teaches that it is right to discriminate on the basis of a person's race, culture, language or religious beliefs.

In front of non-Malays, it speaks of tolerance and unity in diversity, and in front of Malays it speaks of race, religious, cultural and language supremacy, and the glorification of power and ethnic subjugation.

Half a decade on, it would appear that Badawi’s days are drawing to an end, and with that Islam Hadari as well. In the years and decades to come, future historians may be kinder to Badawi who may be remembered as the man who tried to reform Malaysia but failed, and whose failure was due to the rot and inertia that had settled in the very same corridors of power that he walked. But perhaps the biggest loss for Malaysia in the long run will be the demise of Islam Hadari as a project that was never really understood, unfairly criticised, crassly instrumentalised and ultimately cast into the dustbin as just another item in the long train of baggage left behind in the wake of Badawi’s exit from power.
    ===========================

The biggest problem in Malaysia is the fact that Islam and race are used by UMNO to marginalize the other races, especially the Chinese. Therefore, before anybody can reform laws concerning Islam and NEP, there must be a total change in the mindset of the Malays. Obviously this will not happen as long as there are UMNO leaders who believe they can only maintain the support of the Malay masses through ketuanan Islam and ketuanan Melayu. Therefore, Badawi’s attempt to reform religion is doomed from the start. In other words, before reforming religion, UMNO must be reformed internally to stop relying on Islam to marginalize the Chinese.

In the end, no reforms can be possible from within UMNO. Therefore, the inevitable conclusion is that UMNO must be toppled by replacing the UMNO-BN government with a PR government.

Raymond Tan is still the DCM but for how long and with the support of how many of his constituents? YTL obviously has nothing now in terms of bribes. But he is doing the mandate of his constituents which is to bring justice and prosperity to Sabah. That is to say YTL is willing to give up his own position and power and wealth in order to bring 20% of the oil money to the Sabahans.

So who will the Sabahans support? Will they support Raymond Tan who doesn't give a damn to Sabahans getting the 20% oil money as long as he himself gets lots of bribes? Or will they support YTL who is willing to give up his power and position and wealth to fight for the 20% oil money for the Sabahans? I think that is a simple question most of the Sabahans can easily answer.

  78. Yong promises to win back Elopura, Tanjung Papat seats

SANDAKAN: SAPP president Datuk Yong Teck Lee promised to win back two seats lost when Au Kam Wah and Datuk Raymond Tan parted ways with the party.

揥e lost Elopura and Tanjung Papat state seats. In the coming general elections, we will win them back,?he said in an interview with The Borneo Post at SAPP Sekong office in Taman Sibuga.

Yong was responding to a question as to whether SAPP has lost their 慒ixed Deposits?strongholds and 憇afe?state seats when Tan and Au announced their decisions to be independent assemblymen after pulling out of the party.

揝abah political leaders including Sabah Umno minister such as Datuk Masidi Manjun and others have given their views about the harmony and unity of our ethnic groups.

揈thnic groups in Sabah and Sarawak have very good relations with one another. They are not beset by racial and religious polarisation as in Peninsular Malaysia,?said Yong on a proposed law which supposedly would be called 慠ace Relations Act?

揝till, we worry that the increasing racial problems in the peninsula might get 慽mported?to the east,?he said.

He recalled that in the 1970s and the 1980s, 慚r Opposition?Datuk Tan Chee Kun (now deceased), was one of the few leaders from the peninsula who openly said that in terms of harmony and unity, Peninsular Malaysians have a lot to learn from Sabah and Sarawak.

To him, this means that big political parties like Umno, MCA and MIC all behaved and functioned along racial lines.

揑t would defeat the intentions of such a law,?he said.

揥hat SAPP proposes is non-racial politics where we consider the problems of other communities as our problems.

揟he major parties should gradually abolish racial politics, which is much better than any race relations law.?br>
Earlier on, Yong joined directors and committee members of SRK Tai Tong in a earth-breaking ceremony for a school building.

Yong was on a two-day visit to meet his members in Sandakan, boosting up confidence after the pullout of Elopura and Tanjung Papat state assemblymen.

  79. SAPP: Raymond Tan has not resigned from anything yet

    Kota Kinabalu,(3 October 2008):

SAPP is fully aware that Datuk Raymond Tan and his agents, including Chief Agent Political Secretary to the Chief Minister, have been offering inducements to SAPP members to join their new party, with incentives for publicly announcing their resignations from SAPP. Mostly, the members have remained steadfast to SAPP and rejected their advances.

Nevertheless, some members have decided to leave the Party for various reasons. SAPP respects their decision.

SAPP would like to inform that the Party HQ has received 134 membership resignations from the Elopura CLC, including that of Datuk Tham Nyip Shen and Encik Au Kam Wah and nine from the Telipok Town Branch previously headed by the Chief Minister¡¯s Political Secretary Jimmy Wong Chee Kiong.

As of today, none of the members in the Tanjung Papat constituency which was previously headed by Datuk Raymond Tan, has sent in their resignation letters. Under the party constitution, until and unless a member has resigned in writing and surrendered his membership card or has been expelled, his membership in SAPP is still valid. Branch officials who resign are also required by law to return party properties such as membership files and accounts.

It is also possible that, some time in the future, some or all of these ex-members, including Datuk Raymond Tan, may claim that in fact they have never resigned as members of SAPP. And as members, they would still have rights to attend meetings, enter party premises, vote and to hold office according to the party constitution.

Therefore, if there is still no resignation letters from Datuk Raymond Tan and his five agents, SAPP will have no choice but to proceed with actions to establish permanently the membership status of Datuk Raymond Tan and the five agents.

SAPP will launch a series of political activities next week, including accepting membership applications from many people who see SAPP as a viable and serious political party in the struggle for the fulfillment of the eight points, namely good governance, Sabah autonomy, 20% oil royalty, return of Labuan, review of unfair laws and departments, Borneonisation, solution of the illegals problems and redress socio-economic imbalances.

  82. Raymond Tan aka 'Kiasu Tan' made a statement in the 'New Sabah Times' on Oct 18 that SAPP's pull-out from BN was a bad decision !

He likened the decision to jumping out of a sinking vessel straight into the open sea without making any effort to salvage it in the first place !!

What a stupid statement he made ... SAPP had already requested umpteem times to look into our SABAH PROBLEMS (illegal ICs / immigrants, 20% oil royalty, political autonomy just to name the important issues) but these requests seem to fall on PM's and his cronies' deaf ears or rather 'tidak aps' attitude !!

So 'Kiasu Tan', how to convince a sinking BN with arrogant attitude ??

So you wanna be staying put in the sinking vessel and not out of it to the open opportunities that all our SABAH RAKYAT have only dreamt of prior to March 8 Elections.

Now we should demand our RIGHTS and BENEFITS that rightfully and legally belong to us in the FIRST PLACE !!!!

'Kiasu Tan' and your greedy Agents, you are all doomed with BN come the next Elections !!

SAPP Youth Chief: Leaders who failed to safeguard people's interest should step down

KOTA KINABALU, June 6, 2008: Leaders who failed to safeguard the well being and interest of the people should immediately step down and let others who are more capable to take over the task, said Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Youth Chief, Au Kam Wah.

He stressed this in a statement issued in Sandakan today, in respond to the latest fuel price increase announced by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Wednesday.

He especially regretted that not only that the government failed to ease the people's burden amidst the high inflation rate currently experienced by the nation but, instead proceeded to announce a steep fuel price increase.

The Elopura state assemblyman also said the Federal government has reneged on its election pledge that it won't hike the price of fuel within this year.
