SAPP dissociates itself from Barisan Nasional

The BN has lost its "BN spirit". It was not that the people who did not want the BN, it was the BN who abandoned the people.

In spite of repeated appeals from some BN members to other BN leaders to be more sensitive to the peoples' feelings, these leaders continue to treat the people with contempt.

Perhaps, after 50 years of uninterrupted government, some BN leaders have got it in their heads that they have a divine right to rule.

  11. It is very unfortunate the BN chose to ignore SAPP's request for the people of Sabah. The reason SAPP withdrew their support.

SAPP, the party led by Yong brought the BN to power in Sabah in 1994 was marginalised by KL. That is how they showed their gratitude.

Our new hope is a newly elected govt, not a govt in siege. If Pakatan can form the govt, and grant the Sabahans their rightful share as partners, with SAPP's more significant and meaningful role in the govt.

I will give my full blessing and support...For a better Sabah.

It's obvious what all mistakes have been done and repeatedly to abuse innocent with their silly act.
Continue to struggle with right spirit for our future generation of all good malaysian.

  13. CONGRATULATION SAPP FOR MAKING A WISE AND IMPORTANT MOVE TO DISSOCIATES FROM BN. HOWEVER AS AN INDEPENDANT, YOUR VOICE WILL ONLY FALLS INTO THE WILDERNESS. WE THE PEOPLE OF SABAH WISH THAT SAPP WILL ASSOCIATES WITH PAKATAN RAKYAT FOR A STRONGER FORCE FOR JUSTICE TO BE DONE.

COME THE NEXT ELECTION, SAPP WILL BE SURE TO GET ALL THE VOTES GOING TO THE OPPOSITION. IT WILL BE DEFINITELY BE STRAIGHT FIGHTS BETWEEN BN AND PR FOR ALL SEATS TO BE CONTESTED.

    HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Pursue our struggles for a One Malaysia for all Malaysians ... no more race issues to tackle.

Other countries will look to us as Malaysians and not Bangsa Melayu, Cina, Indian or otherwise.

Dissociation from BN is the best and honourable decision ever made in history of Malaysia.

WHO DARE TO PULL OUT FROM THE RULING PARTY ?? ... ONLY SAPP HAVE THE WISDOM AND GUTS TO FIGHT AND PURSUE THE RIGHTS THAT ALL SABAHANS DESERVE AGAINST THE BN GOVERNMENT.

UNLIKE LDP, PBRS and PBS, they are cowards and real political bitches or concubines of UMNO tyrants !!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Dear Datuk Yong n All SAPP Supreme Councillors,

To have a stronger voice, join hands with Pakatan Rakyat to realise our Sabahans' Rights esp. with the 8-Point Declaration :-
    i) Good governance and non-racial politics,
    (ii) Autonomy for Sabah,
    (iii) 20% oil royalties,
    (iv) Return of Labuan,
    (v) Review of unfair laws and detrimental departments,
(vi) Borneonisation of the federal civil service,
(vii) Solution to the illegal immigrants issue, and
(viii) Redress economic and social imbalances.

Ultimately and inevitably, the next state or parliamentary elections will be swept by Pakatan Rakyat .... all Malaysians are fed-up with the lies of the evil UMNO.

  16. At last the earth starts moving as SAPP decides to quit the BN. It's not important even if it's not joining PR at this juncture. What happens to PBS, LDP, UPKO, SUPP, Gerakan, etc.?

    ReplyDelete
  17. That's the best news since '916'...it gives us HOPE again in times of uncertainties. Thank you for standing tall ...you have my respect, and I'm sure from many of us who believe in justice and fairness to ALL Malaysians.

  18. Who cares about the ungrateful, singular and selfish Raymond Tan when he walked out of the said Council Meeting.

This is the beginning of the end of his political career as far as SAPP is concerned ... find yourself another platform to enrich further your bank $$$$$ account !!!

SAPP never condon selfishness and self-importance of any leader during their training courses but to fight and struggle for our fellow Sabahans as well as for fairness and justice for all Malaysians as a whole !!!

The burden seems lighter now for SAPP and with so much brighter lights seen after being in the darkness of evil since the Likas conspiracy of LDP and PBS with UMNO's blessing, it is pay-back time for SAPP to dethrone BN with the might of the Malaysian Rakyat-powered Pakatan Pakyat.

God Bless You All of SAPP and the Voters come the next Elections !!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. SAPP hereby proudly dissociates ourselves from these shameful wrong doings of the BN government.

SAPP further believes that the BN is not capable of practicing good governance and non-racial politics; that BN has no intention in granting autonomy to Sabah, returning 20% of oil royalties and Labuan to Sabah, implement Borneonisation, review unfair federal laws and departments in Sabah, solve the illegal immigrants problems and remove social and economic imbalances.

The BN leadership even refused to recognize historical facts by denying September 16 as Malaysia Day, 45 years.
    --------------
Badawi, you are a nuisance to Malaysia, but NOT Sapp a nuisance to BN. What Sapp is doing is waking up BN of their corrupt minds!

Make our Sabah's long lost hope come back! God bless SAPP!

  20. Raymond Tan, you are a shame to SAPP! You only think of yourself, your $$$$ waiting to be banked in!

    Selamat Hari Malaysia

  23. bravo. been waiting for this for a long time. yeah. why not join pakatan. We believe under pakatan we can have change.

    ReplyDelete
  24. It is rational why Sapp leaves the BN. The no-confidence vote on the PM is relevant.

Why only NOW announce he will resign earlier than 2010? Why hasn't he heed the call by Dr M, Ku Li, Mukhriz, Muhyddin and Sapp on calls for his early exit? If he had earlier quit his PM post after the 12th GE, he would have received a graceful exit!

If I am him, I would have resigned!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I saw the TV3 news with disgust! Don't watch TV3, it is a government tool to disseminate negative news of who oppose the government.

The PM said it was only some SAPP members who support the party's move to quit the BN.

Either the PM was misinformed or he is still in his slumber...zzzzzz! pathetic!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I foresee come next election, all states and parliament seats contested throughout Malaysia will see straight fights between BN and PR. Base on current support for PR (about 63% of all Malaysians) BN will be sunk forever.

Congratulation Datuk Yong Teck Lee and SAPP for your 'NATION BEFORE SELF' move to sack BN.

    ReplyDelete
  27. SAPP decision to leave BN.

    1. It is not a unanimous decision in the Supreme Council meeting this afternoon . Grassroot supporters should be given an opportunity to make their own decisions. They are not forced into accepting a decision of the Supreme Council that have different views.

    2. No proper basis for SAPP to leave BN and to do so because BN have not invited SAPP for several meetings is not rational. BN has yet to decide on the show cause letter. No reason why we cannot wait for a decision from BN when BN parties like UPKO has openly call for no action to be taken against SAPP, if SAPP, like others, is just vocal. Afterall, our MPs did not do anything wrong since June 18th.

    3. Yong Tet Lee was unhappy when no additional seats were given to SAPP in the last general election and according to him, SAPP was “boxed to a 2 by 4″ inside BN. His gameplan was to get more seats for SAPP. He would prefer SAPP to be expelled from BN after his announcement that SAPP would take or support a no confidence vote against the Prime Minister on June 18th. He wanted people to see that his mission was to get the attention of the Federal Government on a host of Sabah issues and interests. He took a more confrontational approach with the BN government, even joined a DAP talk and would keep his distance from BN and especially the Prime Minister. How much of this masquarade is to fit into Anwar’s plan, remains to be seen. This popularity show will continue.

    4. I was isolated by the Party with the removal of both positions as the Chairman for CLC Tanjung Papat and also Sandakan Zone Chairman for the Party since 30th August.

    5. I have maintained my stand for the Party to stay committed to BN as a matter of principle despite of any action taken against me. It has been repeatedly said by our leaders, the 2 MPs in particular, that we are remaining firm in BN since June 18th. We are not involved in any action to topple the BN government. Any decision otherwise now, shows how dishonest these leaders are. The decision to leave BN has splitted the Party leaders and members.

    6. I will have to make my own decisions as to my positions in the Party and the State Government. Above all, I will have to help the grassroots supporters.

    Dear All True Sabahans,

Is this the type of leader any party wants belittling the leader whom brought him up in his political career and now bites the hands that guided him to so much stature in government positions and titles ???

He is a nobody if not for SAPP to groom him to what he is today !!!

That is why his name fits him perfectly ... Kiah Shu (afraid to lose everything in TeoChew or Hokkien) TAN !!

  28. Bravo SAPP! Thank you for taking this brave step on behalf of ALL Sabahans. We are proud of bold action. At this point in time I think SAPP does not need to "join" Pakatan but you do need to "aligned" yourselves with Pakatan. Autonomy to Sabah as an equal partner in Malaysia. That is what every Sabahan yearns for. That IS what we want. It's rightfully ours. The current situation is shameful... even our CM is appointed by "outsiders". Sikit-sikit refer to "you know who.."

  30. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said it was apt that the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) left the Barisan Nasional (BN) as it was a only a nuisance to the coalition.

"They are only a problem in the party and a nuisance. Let them go, it's okay," Pak Lah said.

Kudos to Pak Lah blunt statement as reported in the media today.

Sabahans must wake up and looks WHO is talking now ?

All Malaysians are very shocked and ashamed to listen and read a moral decay statement. We quickly recalled the past contributions from SAPP to UMNO-BN lead coalition in Sabah, hence it is good time for Sabahan to demand their rights under the Constitutions as below:

    (a) SAPP is part of BN coalition for many years and supported with sweat and blood for UMNO-BN lead state and federal governments from weak to strong to bring in UMNO in Sabah;

    (b) Sabahans are requesting for their rights now after they were left out behind by BN from the development projects as compared with other states for 51 years.

    (c) Kudos to SAPP for realising their conscience and start to defend for Sabahans' rights and equality.

    (d) Sabahans have been marginalised and victimised from their homeland for 5 decades. SAPP takes the right decision to request BN government to consider the points raised by Sabahans.

Our Sabah children and young people read between the lines of his statement clearly for several times and recalled again:-

" Sabah Progressive " (party) was a nuisance and only a problem, let them go (boleh pergi lah), it's okay."-AN ARROGANT REMARK !

SAPP is useless and over stayed in the coalition. It is better SAPP go so that other component parties can have bigger shares of billion$ allocated in Sabah.

A big gamble for SAPP to quit from his God Father, BN and it takes a punter on the progessive of Sabah in future.

We salute YB Dato Yong and SAPP members for taking a bold decision to sack his Boss,BN first today.

    InsyAllah & Amen,

    Anak Sabahan

    Wait and see, guys .

Trying to save himself from another economic fiasco, he passed the buck to Najib. Can Najib deliver, with all the billions promised? I think the govt will be bankrupt!

Badawi is preparing for an emergency rule, if Pakatan gets the numbers.

Ahmad Ismail will come into picture, create racia crisis and govt steps in..Emergency!

I still controll the govt, Anwar, you still don't have the chance..I will catch you under ISA! emergency rule will solve the problem!

  38. KOTA KINABALU, Sept 17 (Bernama) -- The two Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) members of parliament said today they will continue to speak up on behalf of the Sabah people even though the party is no longer in Barisan Nasional (BN).

Tawau MP Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui said her decision to support SAPP's decision to leave the BN today was based on the response she received from her constituency.

"They begged me for a change; it is the voice of the people.

"So we will continue to play our duties and listen to their needs," she told reporters after attending the party's supreme council meeting today.

On the possibility that she might be urged to resign, Dr Chua said, "I'm an elected representative and I will serve my term."

  39. I'd said that when SAPP declared it would table a vote of non-confidence it had crossed the Rubicon and could never return to BN. Since then historicl events have proven me right. I'm very glad to see SAPP now officially out of BN. I hope it will take the next step, if it had not already done so, of joining the PR to form the coalition to take over the government.

I hope SAPP and PR will dedicate themselves to championing the interests and wishes of the people. First of all there should be full equality which will then lay the groundwork for justice. And with equality and justice in place, all the people will be unleashed to fully implement their creativity and initiative leading to a rapid development of the economy ultimately resulting in the enrichment of the people. All of the people.

Obviously it will not be easy to develop a backward country into an advanced country. But with an enlightened, competent, and corruption free government dedicated to empowering the people the chances for developing an advanced and wealthy country is much enhanced.

I salaute SAPP and its wise and democratic leaders for their timely and historic and courageous act to lead Malaysia into a new era of peace, harmony, and prosperity. And I'm glad that I could in some small way participate in this historic turn of event that will lead Malaysia away from an evil dark era into one of light and goodness.

  42. Dear SAPP,
Tuan terlalu banyak mengigau tapi tiada tindakan! Koridor ilham tuan akan gagal sebab Tun Mahathir gunakan 22 tahun untuk majukan Malaysia tetapi tuan tingga 2 tahun...
Tahniah Sapp dan teruskan perjuangan! Kami akan turun padang tanpa meminta bayaran seperti BN...

  70. Oi d moronic Jom-Osama bin Laden,

We Sabahans are not afraid of you ..... only afraid of your foreign contagious disease.

Do not spread them to other Sabahans ... we know that 'Kiah Su' Tan, 'Kam Lan' Au and 'Jilat Kaki Musa' Jim Wong had been infected by your infectious virus.

The blog administrator had found a cure for this disease; you can now spread as much as u like coz the 3 stooge-traitors had left us on being infected by this BN-UMNO/PBS/LDP parasitic virus.

We welcome u illiterate parasitic Osama looting our State wealth using BN-UMNO means.

Long Live, All Sabahans who supported SAPP's sacking of BN from the Days of Evil and Darkness. Now our Days Ahead are full of Confidence, Triumph and Optimism in the Land Below The Wind.

  72. Congratulation for leaving BN. Free you party from continuing being enslave by UMNO to the peril of your people. UMNO is a party that survive on racism and constantly instigating racial tensions and detaining innocents people for the wrongdoings of its members. People across the South China Sea is sick and tired of the racism going on for the past 51 years.

Enough is enough!!! Have principles, have your conscience and your people well being in mind!!

Join Pakatan Rakyat and demand for greater autonomy for the state of Sabah.

  73. I'm from peninsula, I have read VK Liew said that the government have enough of reasons to detain those people. If so, what are the reasons for detention??? list them out please!!!

I am extremely disappointed that LDP has become a low life, UMNO ass licking slave. Where can I find his blog so that I can give his some nice comment.

  75. Why SAPP left BN?

SAPP, being a senior BN in Sabah, actually, the most senior, why?

Becoz SAPP under Yong brought the BN to power in Sabah in 1994. The party was instrumental in every way making BN win in Sabah.

The party should not be in any way be marginalized by BN especially the honeymooning PM.

My opinion is that Badawi should look at the BN history in Sabah. Who is the key person to enable BN to set its foot firmly in Sabah. Either Badawi, you are still in your slumber or you forget easily...or tidak peduli. Yong was right in demanding more seats for SAPP. Why? becoz SAPP deserves to have more!

Pak Lah, do you think you are worth the respect for your incompetency, ungratefulness, apathy to Sabah's problems?

SAPP's 14 points which was highlighted in the news following the visit by SAPP group of Supreme Councillors to the PM's office. I heard that the entourage was asked to wait from morning till late in the afternoon before getting to see this PM.

The meeting lasted less than 1/2 hour, after a slide presentation and the SAPP's 14 points letter on how to resolve the serious illegal immigrants in Sabah. The PM, after yawning, swept the letter aside and bid farewell.

Do we want such a leader who doesn't bother to listen not to say do! That is why he said SAPP was a nuisance, becoz he did not want to be disturbed!

  76. Wake up , ALL SABAHANS !!!!

VOTE BN-UMNO/PBS/LDP/PBRS out in the next Sabah State Elections !!!!

These parties care for their own self-interest n personal wealth , while the Sabah Rakyat suffer as the consequence of "We enrich ourselves for our next generations, who cares about the rights and plights of the Sabah Rakyat???" attitude of all the hypocrit BN Leaders !!!!

The nuisance that SAPP caused to Pak Lah in their reasonable requests and the pathetic and incompetent PM in his indecisive response had made SAPP made the honourable and righteous decision to quit BN, not as reported in the press by the those YESMAN Sabah UMNO and PBS leaders.

Without SAPP consistent requests, will Pak Lah come out with the millions allocated for Sabah in the 2009 Budget ??? ... And yet this sum is only a fraction of our annual State Oil Revenue !!!

WAKE UP AGAIN !!! WE SABAHANS DESERVED MORE THAN THAT !!!

Oh .... the 0.01% Sabahans are the BN leaders only !!

  79. Is RPK a Terrorist, a Communist or a Criminal that the Malaysian govt. think is Really DANGEROUS n pose such a huge threat to the security of our country ?

Is he also a violent and dangerous blogger ? ONLY the BN UMNO and the only one Sino-Chinese in Sabah i.e. the moronic VK Liew believe so !

ISA is the only real threat to all right-thinking Malaysians !

RPK's most basic right as a Malaysian (and he even has royal background) has been taken away in a democratic nation.

Only our King can interfere now and RID the use of ISA !
