Is Pakatan Rakyat solution for fuel prices 'simplistic' ?

The opposition's election pledge to use profits from state-owned oil firm Petronas to keep fuel prices low is a "simplistic solution", the Dewan Rakyat was told today.

  1. Why not we give it a try?
And increase Sabah oil royalty to 20%

  3. No harm for Pakatan Rakyat to try one full term, if good, then let them continue. I think it is even better if we can change govt every term. This happens all the time in countries like Australia, Taiwan, USA, etc. Changing in government now and then is an effective way to prevent corruptions, at least it is a deterrent in the first place....

It is not the present leadership that is ineffective, it is the whole of the BN administration which is arrogant and idiotic...

    BN ex-supporter!!!

  4. By reducing only 10% in entertainment cost by the present government to combat the heavy rise in fuel cost is a very poor solution.

Imagine how much they present govt representatives are spending taxpayers money in entertainment and their unwillingness not to forgo this entertainment allowance for the sake of the nation in general.

I am surprise the present leadership and administration still don't learn the reason behind their lost of 4+1 states.

Increasing the fuel cost at the expense of rakyat goes to the level of intelligence and caring of our present BN administration.

What is the point of increasing fuel cost and rate of TNB at the time where the rakyat is already suffering is just like adding insult to wounds.

Wake up BN, all I can say is all you got now is 1 term left, then BN will definitely be history.... no matter what you do now, BN is irrelevant anymore after the next general election...

Corrupt as much as you want while you still can and look after your own cronies if possible as this is only your last term to govern the country.

    God bless you BN!!!

  7. yes, why not? because the cost is damn cheap. 1 litre is less than RM0.05 per litre,(I got this info from Petronas staff)look at other oil producing countries, govt sell to thier nations price in very low price. as I said before there is no oil subsidy from govt. it is depend whether govt wants to sell high or low price to their nation. it's because our govt is too greedy and need the money for their own purpose.

Harga minyak di negara pengeluar minyak seperti Malaysia

    UAE RM1.19/litre
    Eygpt RM1.03/litre
    Bahrain RM0.87/litre
    Qatar RM0.68/litre
    Kuwait RM0.67/litre
    Saudi Arabia RM0.38/litre
    IranRM0.35/litre
    Nigeria RM0.32/litre
    Turkmenistan RM0.25/litre
    Venezuela RM0.16/litre
    Brunei RM 1.20/litre

    MALAYSIA RM2.70/litre
=(RM2.70 x 159 liters = US $ 135.00per barrel international price. so where is the subsidy to the RAYAT??? and don't tell us your cost is RM 3.00 per liter and BN Govt subsidize us 0.30 per Liter as we know the cost is less then RM0.05 per liter for oil producing country)

So, Malaysian people are fooled by the govt for morn than 50 years...

    MALAYSIA BOLEH !!!
