Kota Kinabalu (29/4/08): Responding to the statement by Chief Minster Datuk Seri Musa Haji Aman when opening the Sabah Progressive Party's (SAPP) 13th Biennial Delegates' Conference on Sunday asking Sabah BN members to double their efforts to ensure BN remains relevant, he said: "Will the BN members listen to the Chief Minister's urging to double their efforts when the Prime Minister does not act positively on their leaders' demands?"
Jeffrey said it showed that the BN system no longer works and is indeed irrelevant. Nonetheless, he agreed with SAPP President, Datuk Yong Teck Lee that the present political situation has offered a new way out for Sabah. "And Sabahans should seize this opportunity to act and change course quickly if we are to escape from the out-of-date colonial style exploitative divide-and-rule of Umno," he said.
The situation has changed after March 8.The playing field is flat now. This country doesn't belong to anyone, it's for all citizen.Regain and restore the respect that we had had during the formation of Malaysia.Don't forget the 20-points.Don't forget the rights our politicians had ignorantly gave away.Yong is right and he should make the change by turning SAPP the party for all Sabahan in the new era.He should leave the BN now. What's he waiting for?
