BN no sincerity on illegal immigrants problem

Kota Kinabalu, July 22, 2010: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) Secretary-General Datuk Richard Yong We Kong today said the BN government which ruled Sabah for the last 16 years had all along shown no sincerity in helping Sabah resolve the illegal immigrants problem.

He said this when commenting on the Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin who said, "perhaps, this was the first time the issue of illegal immigrants in Sabah being looked at in holistic manner..." therefore suggesting that the Federal Government had never look at this problem seriously before.

"In fact the Federal and State Government had got all the information and data concerning the issues. As far back as during PBS's time as state government an amnesty exercise had been carried out and data on the immigrants had been collected.

"During BN regularization exercise the National Security Council has had the Indonesian Consulate setting up offices in various parts of Sabah to help process documents for the Indonesian to facilitate them in getting work permits. At the time the consulate officers from the Philippines Embassy were posted to Sabah to process documents for their citizens. The National Security Council help implemented the exercise and is having all the documents and data with them.

  1. sincerity? no lah...just to keep u sabahans in check with illegal immigrants having mykads.

We BN,control them, when it is time to vote, we arrange their transport, pocket money, extra money, and most of all, you are safe ie. from the immigration, that we control also.

Just vote for BN, and you will get your ticket to stay in Sabah.

  3. Don't complain!!! Use your vote and make it a statement for change! Talk to the illegal MyCard holder and make it clear to them that they can stay in Sabah when SAPP and PKR take over from UMNO BN! They vote for UMNO out of fear to be send back! Take the fear away and you have some more voters for SAPP!!!!

Get every eligible voter to register AND take them along to vote - I know a lot of voters just not caring enough to get their ass up and go to the voting center. They believe that others will make it right for them! Talk to them and make it clear: if you don't vote for change you have lost your right to complain!

Get active and stop complaining to everybody if YOU YOURSELF are not willing to do what is necessary to make changes become a reality for all!!!

  4. yes, don't just complain. Act on it. Get the support of everyone. The illegals are about to become tools of BN, their future and their children's future also uncertain. Once BN used them, they will be left to rot. All Sabahans who care about Sabah and your own future should rise do your part to cause a change. This is probably our last chance to change.

  5. Blaming all parties in the world is no cure for this disease. Human being should be the one who is responsible with the outcome.

  9. Even if there are sincerity, but without a feasible plan, the outcome would be the same. Haven't you heard the saying "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

  15. BN will keep these illegal immigrants with MYkads as their Fixed deposit in the elections.

Do you think they will want to do away these FD which will defeat their plan?

Only a political will and change of government of Sabah and Malaysia as a whole will we see some light and promises fulfilled.

  21. The only problem here is that UMNO is having all the information kept secretly on who are who (the illegal immigrants who got project IC)

Mutalib has spoken out about the projek IC but was not challenged by the federal government because they knew it is true.

By challenging in court, truth will come out cracking open a whole can of worms of which UMNO does not want..so that's why they just kept their silence and time will defeat this issue.

  22. i m sorry to say that our bajaus are less adventurous then the filipins, our KDM are less hard working then the Oms, our many locals are less business minded then the Bugis, our Chineses are less berani to make change. Unless we all come together to make a change. our children's future are doomed. From what i see, some of own people are selling theirs rights and their soul for some temporary comfort. Wake up lah!

  23. If no illegal then no coffee money. If a lot of illegal’s once catch give coffee money can get release. That’s why illegal immigrants problem will not be solved because coffee money talk louder than anything.
