If the method of calculation of petrol price is correct, it looks like
we consumers are been screwed all the way. So what are we going to do?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Petrol price calculation:
1 barrel = 158.987146 liters
Current international price USD54.64/1 barrel
Current exchange rate: USD1 = RM3.61
Previously when oil price was USD145/barrel:
USD145 x 3.3 (exchange rate) / 159 liter = RM3 - RM0.30 (subsidy) = RM2.70
Current oil price @ USD55/barrel:
USD54.64 x 3.6 (current ex rate) / 159liter = RM1.23 (no subsidy)
Current petrol price: rm2.00 but actual price is RM1.23 so we pay back
to government 77 cents. What happen to the money???
UMNO is blood sucker. They never care about the rakyat. They only interested in KOREK KOREK KOREK.
ReplyDeleteWake up Sabahan!
Bn-Umno govt crony petronas has been siphoning Sabah's wealth since 1976.
ReplyDeleteWith oil profits, they build the twin-towers to show the world at the time, the tallest building in the world...for what???
Petronas executives spending like kings and travelling on jets.
Mega projects, all from the oil revenue....how much since then,, trillions of trillions of ringgit.
yet still, we need to support BN..and Umno..
let's make a change before it is too late.
1 BBL (barrel) is 42 gallon (US)
ReplyDelete1 US gallon = 3.78541178 liter
However, a 42 gallon of crude will yield -
1 barren = 54USD assume rm3.6 per usd rm194.4
Just by calculating the 80litters of petrol alone it cost rm2.40 a liter, and assuming jet fuel+still gas+other stuff is free.
Of course you need to include the sales + operating cost of petrol stations and oil refineries.
Finished Motor Gasoline 51.4% 51.4% x 42 21.588 79.8756
Distillate Fuel Oil 15.3%
Jet Fuel 12.3%
Still Gas 5.4%
Marketable Coke 5.0%
Residual Fuel Oil 3.3%
Liquefied Refinery Gas 2.8%
Asphalt and Road Oil 1.7%
Other Refined Products 1.5%
Lubricants 0.9%
Now is getting worse...even giving us no choice on EPF 8% 0r 11% otherwise fiil in a form!
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of financial resolution always tap on rakyat's reserve money for helping GLC company lavished by lousy CEO huh?

Saya lebih gemar cara (Anonymous said...

Petrol prices should be RM1.52 instead
ReplyDeleteDec 3, 2008: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng has called on Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to reduce pump prices by another 48 cents as well as to allow a revision of petrol prices on a daily basis.
"Crude oil prices dropped to a three year low to under US$48 per barrel yesterday, compared to its peak of RM147.27 on July 11.
“Based on historical trends at a price of US$48 per barrel, the petrol price should be RM1.52 per liter set on May 5, 2005 and not RM1.90 as announced by the government," said Lim, who is also the Bagan MP.
BN ini tipu saja...syarikat-syarikat Petronas akan ketawa...Rakyat kelaparan tidak apa, asal BN-Umno hidup kekayaan!

ReplyDeleteGovernment makes RM16mil a day from fuel windfall
By IZWAN IDRIS and LESTER KONG/ The STAR
KUALA LUMPUR: The Government is set to get windfall gains of up to RM16mil per day based on yesterday’s crude oil price of US$44 (RM158.40) per barrel and a consumption estimate of 27.5 million litres per day .
This windfall comes about because the pump prices of fuel have not been reduced enough to reflect the lower crude prices, oil analysts said.
This has prompted the Federation of Malaysian Consumer Associations (Fomca) to request the Government to reveal how it plans to spend the windfall revenue.
--------------------------------
During Mahathir's time, the government subsidized the petrol for the people. Today despite the hardship faced by the general public, the government earns from the people for their cronies' projects.
Dimanakah Kerajaan BN yang selalu mengaku prihatin terhadap keperitan hidup rakyat?
The crude oil price in New York fell to a four-year low at below US$44 per barrel yesterday, dragged down by demand worries amid the worsening outlook of the global economy.
ReplyDeleteAt this level, the market price for RON 97 grade petrol should be about RM1.30 per litre, which is 60 sen lower than the RM1.90 per litre Malaysians are currently paying, the analysts said.
Based on a consumption estimate of 27.5 million litres per day, this translates to roughly around RM16.5mil in extra revenue a day for the Government.
It is believed that revenue collected by the Government from RON 97 sales at local pumps ranged from a low of RM100,000 to as high as RM20mil a day since mid-October.
windfall profit should go the Sabah.
