On Nov 2, 2008, Home Minister,Syed Hamid Albar announced that the National Registration Department (NRD) will be re-issuing green cards, which was stopped in 2004, for residents whose citizenship status were in doubt.This has resulted in thousands of "stateless" people thronged the National Registration Department (NRD) offices at the Federal administration building kota Kinabalu and in Tawau, 17 November 2008, after the Department announced it will start re-issuing the green MyKad.
In Tawau, the number was estimated at several thousand. Police also had to be called in for crowd control.
Can you imagine seeing another round "registration" or "legalizing Illegals", ...THE CONTINUATION OF "PROJEK IC" EPISODE II
I would say YES! It will only benefit UMNO in the next GE. You get your card I get your vote! Simple as that!

Sabahan,how is the latest registration of the illegals.I heard today they have register 3500 illigals,mostly from Mindano.So they are really turning the land below the typhoon into Mecca of the east.So in no time Sabahan will have to wear haji cap ,pray 10 times a day and fast 2 month in a year.Congratulation Holy Sabahan.

ReplyDeletebut i still think that the core problem to this is our so called "brothers" from the west who practically handed the ic's to the "baru turun kapal" peoples in the 80's & 90's. So the illegals still think that they are elligable
for citizenship.
I think i read a book somewere that states if a person commits treason it is punishable by death.
So to sell your citizenship to enemies can be considered treason can it?
But why arent we shooting or hanging anybody?
May be because if we were to hang anybody, we probably would hang a lot of our former national/state leaders. :(
