In the Daily Express, the Sabah Chief Minster had vows that there will be immediate aid for flood nd other disaster victims in the state. This in response to the current serious flood problems faced due tot he rainy season.
On 14 January 2009, Federal Science, Technology and Innovations Minister Datuk Dr Maximus Ongkili had said, it is typical of the opposition to issue statements blindly. He also said they also seemed to lack the capacity to ask intelligent questions.
This was the reply given by Dr. Max to the Sapp youth leader question for the source of funding for the three suspension bridges in Kota Marudu namely Simpangan, Kg Lampada and Kg Timbang Batu which would be built to replace bridges washed away by major floods back in February last year.
Dr. Max had confirmed that the fund are from the National Security Council (NSC). It leads one to wonder if for a Federal Minister constituency approval for funding are only received one year later, what will become of the vows by the Chief Minister?
So folks, hang in there, help is on the way...........but when?
