KUALA LUMPUR: Murphy Oil Corp says Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has terminated the production sharing contracts for Blocks L and M as they "are no longer a part of Malaysia".

The US-based company said on its website on Wednesday, April 21 that it was informed by Petronas following the execution of the exchange of letters between Malaysia and Brunei on March 16, 2009, the offshore exploration areas designated as Block L and Block M were no longer a part of Malaysia.

If the PM is so sure BN still have the support of the people towards the government, why not dissolve the parliament and call for fresh elections in order to reassure and stabilize the country once and for all?

SAPP dissociates itself from Barisan Nasional

The BN has lost its "BN spirit". It was not that the people who did not want the BN, it was the BN who abandoned the people.

In spite of repeated appeals from some BN members to other BN leaders to be more sensitive to the peoples' feelings, these leaders continue to treat the people with contempt.

Perhaps, after 50 years of uninterrupted government, some BN leaders have got it in their heads that they have a divine right to rule.

Upko, SAPP to ensure Sabahans' voices heard: Dompok

Penampang: Barisan Nasional (BN) component Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has stood firm on the rights of Sabahans despite suggesting a motion of no-confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

SAPP's firm on "No Confidence"

KOTA KINABALU, July 8, 2008: SAPP Secretary-General, Datuk Richard Yong today categorically asserted that SAPP's stand on SAPP’s loss of confidence in the PM still remains.

Yong asserted this in a brief statement issued here today, to clarify the news reports yesterday that "SAPP drops no-confidence motion".

Show Cause Letter to SAPP

KOTA KINABALU, July 1, 2008: Sabah Progresive Party (SAPP) received the show cause letter from Barisan Nasional (BN) today, demanding for an explanation on its recent conducts within 30 days.

According to a brief statement issued by the SAPP HQ here today, the show cause letter issued by BN secretary general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor dated 30 June 2008 was sent through Pos Laju.

The show cause letter demanded for an explanation on three main issues and they are:
1) Proposed vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi;
2) Statement that there is no guarantee that SAPP will still be in BN after August;
3) SAPP loss of confidence in Prime Minister

Show cause letter to explain what?

The BN supreme council has issue its member, Sabah Progressive Party (Sapp), a show-cause letter on the party's decision to back a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Sapp will be given 30 days to respond and after which the ruling coalition will decide on whether to suspend or expel the Sabah-based party.

VOTE OF (NO) CONFIDENCE by Tun Dr M

As expected Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament supported the motion on the removal of subsidy for petroleum. Obviously the whip had been used. Only one Sabah MP expressed his unhappiness at the short notice given for tabling this motion. Yet every MP knows that the price of petrol is a big burden for the people.

On Monday June 23rd, the public expected to hear about a motion of no confidence against Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi by the Sabah Progressive Party. I had predicted that it would not happen as the Speaker would disallow it.

But it was the SAPP that decided not to table it. Its MPs were recalled to Sabah amidst talks of threats being made against them.

Fear Tactics to deter others from supporting

Yong criticised the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) for re-opening an old investigation related to allegations of corrupt practices when he was Sabah chief minister from 1996 to 1998.

"The action by the ACA on me is to deter others from taking the same stand as us. ACA is creating a situation of fear," he said. "Why investigate now when SAPP is moving a no-confidence motion."
